Fitness Model Kari Hoyda
Kari Hoyda graduated from The Ohio State University in August 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She currently holds CPR/AED certification through the American Heart Association, is an ISSA – Certified Fitness Trainer, ACE – Certified Personal Trainer, ISSA – Specialist in Performance Nutrition, and is currently working on obtaining her NASM – Certified Personal Trainer and NHE – Performance Nutritionist certifications.
Kari is a current member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the National Council on Strength and Fitness.
Kari has worked in the fitness industry for the past four years, serving as the Assistant General Manager of OM Fitness, the Quality Control Specialist for Urban Active Fitness and now works as a personal trainer at Life Time Fitness in Dublin, Ohio.
On the side, Kari works as a spokes model for MET-Rx Nutrition as well as a fitness model. She has been featured in Oxygen Magazine as a Future of Fitness Cover Girl in the 100th Anniversary edition, was named BodyBuilding.com’s Trainer of the Month for September 2009, and is currently the fitness columnist for FHM Magazine Online.

Q: Mandy, You were on America’s Most Smartest Model.
What was the experience like and what did you learn from it?
Mandy Lynn: The experience was like no other. It’s really interesting actually all the twists and turns that production would throw at us during filming.
It is really bugged out because it’s reality but at the same time not it isn’t because it is obviously an unnatural situation.
But it was awesome to be part of it and I would do it again in a second!
I learned a lot about myself from it, funny things, like for example — facial expressions that I didn’t realize that I make, how my voice sounds, my mannerisms…stuff like that.
